EOI open to find a development partner
The NSW Government is now welcoming expressions of interest (EOI) from experienced development partners to deliver a key site within the Blackwattle Bay State Significant Precinct.
With the iconic development of the new Sydney Fish Market already underway, the NSW Government is seeking an experienced development partner to transform the existing Sydney Fish Market site into a world-class waterfront destination as part of the broader Blackwattle Bay Precinct. The 3.6ha development site is currently occupied by the existing Sydney Fish Market.
Renewal of the precinct will see world-class public spaces delivered to the public as a priority, including a new 1.1 hectare park at Bank Street and a new foreshore promenade, completing a 15-kilometre continuous harbourside walk between Woolloomooloo and Rozelle Bay.
Access to and from the area will be improved with the future Pyrmont Metro Station nearby, while new parks, walkways, cycleways, and the foreshore promenade will connect the development to new and existing landmarks including the new Sydney Fish Market, Darling Harbour, Barangaroo, the Opera House and beyond.
Expressions of interest close on 19 August at 12pm AEST. Shortlisted developers will be invited to submit a formal proposal.
