Modification to Bank Street Park design lodged with Department of Planning, Housing & Infrastructure

The Bank Street Park project has been following a State Significant Development Application process and was approved by the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) in July 2024.

The project’s landscape architects Oculus with Collins &Turner have worked to further develop the approved concept design into a detailed design for construction.

In response to these refinements, Infrastructure NSW is seeking approval for modifications made to elements of the approved design, which has been formally submitted to DPHI for determination.

The modifications being sought primarily aim to improve access, connectivity and circulation within the park, and do not impact on the expected timeline for project delivery. Infrastructure NSW remain committed to delivering an exceptionally designed waterfront park at Bank Street Park.

Learn more about the minor modifications being sought under the 'What's next' tab.

The Modification 1 documents can be found on DPHI Planning Portal.

Procurement of a construction contractor to deliver Bank Street Park is currently out for tender. Construction of the park is scheduled to start in Q3 2025.
