There are two more weeks to make a submission on the Blackwattle Bay State Significant Precinct Study
Blackwattle Bay will be a vibrant entertainment and cultural hub at the western gateway to the Sydney CBD. Twelve redevelopment sites are proposed which will boost new housing by over 1,500 dwellings, create the opportunity for more than 5,500 jobs and delivery new public open spaces equivalent to one and half football fields on the harbour’s edge.
To realise this vision, the NSW Government needs to rezone the land through a State Significant Precinct process. We recommend viewing the Guide to the State Significant Precinct Study on the Infrastructure NSW website to assist navigating the documents on public exhibition.

The Department of Planning, Industry and Environment have extended the public exhibition timeframe, and will be receiving public feedback on the plans through to 20 August 2021. You can view the State Significant Precinct Study and make a submission via the Department's website.
While we hoped to meet face-to-face during this public exhibition, due to COVID-19 we have hosted online webinars to highlight the considerations that have gone into developing the Precinct Plan and proposed Planning Framework.
As we haven’t been able to hold face-to-face sessions, we encourage you to ask any questions about the Blackwattle Bay redevelopment by scheduling a call back with the project team. Please include any specific questions you may have to help us invite the appropriate technical specialist. The timeslots are 20 minutes, although please email us in advance should you require a longer session.
To contact the team, please email Blackwattle.Bay@infrastructure.nsw.gov.au or call 1800 962 221.
