Mirvac has been announced as the preferred developer to renew the existing Sydney Fish Market site at Blackwattle Bay.

INSW has lodged Modification 2 for Bank Street Park with the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure.

We recently celebrated an important milestone for the Bank Street Park project, with BESIX Watpac awarded the construction contract to deliver the park.

Following a competitive procurement process, BESIX Watpac have been awarded the contract to deliver the highly anticipated park at Bank Street.

Infrastructure NSW is currently in the process of procuring a construction contractor to deliver the park. 

Infrastructure NSW is proud to announce that the Voluntary Planning Agreement (VPA) for the Blackwattle Bay Precinct has now been formally executed. 

In March 2025, Infrastructure NSW lodged a planning application to modify elements of the approved concept design for Bank Street park.

In December 2024, the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) placed Infrastructure NSW’s application to amend the planning controls at the existing Sydney Fish Market site on public exhibition.

The Bank Street Park project has been following a State Significant Development Application process and was approved by the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) in July 2024.

The highly anticipated 1.1-hectare waterfront park surrounding the southern pylon of the iconic Anzac Bridge is a step closer with the NSW Government announcing the shortlisted tenderers for its construction.

A draft planning agreement for the existing Sydney Fish Market site within the Blackwattle Bay Precinct is being exhibited by the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure.

With a focus on housing supply, a change to the land use controls is proposed so the Government-owned land has the flexibility to provide more homes, without changing the building heights or gross floor area.
