The Department of Planning and Environment has given the green light to the Blackwattle Bay State Significant Precinct rezoning.

The revitalisation of Blackwattle Bay will see Sydney’s most under-utilised harbourfront precinct transformed to an activated, vibrant and sustainable urban village.

Blackwattle Bay will be a vibrant entertainment and cultural hub at the western gateway to the Sydney CBD. Twelve redevelopment sites are proposed which will boost new housing by over 1,500 dwellings, create the opportunity for more than 5,500 jobs and delivery new public open spaces equivalent to one and half football fields on the harbour’s edge.
